Pete Musser has spent over 27 years as an accounting and financial management professional, serving as CFO and Controller for a range of small to mid-sized manufacturing businesses. His industry experience spans automotive, construction, government contracting, plastics, tool & die, and signage and display manufacturing.

Most recently, Pete was CFO and Director of Project Management at CG Witvoet & Sons, a Grand Rapids-based manufacturer of retail signage and displays.  He led the implementation of many process improvements and operational initiatives which facilitated substantial growth over his 10 years with the company.  In 2020, Pete helped lead the company through a successful sale, giving him firsthand experience on the seller’s side of an M&A transaction.

This hands-on perspective allows Pete to bring a unique and valuable lens to LaGrey’s advisory services. He understands the challenges business owners face when preparing for a transaction and works closely with them to align financials, streamline processes, and maximize value. Pete takes pride in ensuring that transactions are executed professionally and in a manner that benefits all parties involved.

Pete holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance and Economics) from Central Michigan University and an MBA from Grand Valley State University. He resides in Grand Rapids with his wife and two kids. Outside of work, he enjoys playing hockey, skiing, kayaking, and hiking.
